Just got back from seeing Hot Water Music in at Terminal 5 in NYC. I’d seen them once before in Memphis, and again it was what I imagine gospel revivals are like for pentacostals. A thousand folks with similar beliefs all singing, all feeling the same moment. Amazing experience.
So much so that as soon as I got back I jumped on youtube to look for footage of the show, and it translates pretty well….
I was up front just to the right this footage. (of “Rooftops,” one of the great personal anthems)…
