Might as well jump! Go ahead jump!
We've hung with BaseCamp. We've held the corner with WordPress. Now it'd like to introduce you all to a new toy to consider for our gang: Pownce.
If you were lucky enough to have read Benji and my ancient discussion of Twitter - or are otherwise familiar - you know the idea behind Pownce: Effortless broadcasting of and small thoughts and small media. From your cell phone even. And now that we're back in business with the QAO, Jonny and I were thinking that this capacity would both a fun and useful addition to our crew.
Couple examples:
Collective brainstorming on story ideas.
Sharing a favorite song or one you just discovered, relevant or not to the magazine.
Or basically just plain talking smack.
It takes seconds to send any of these, and they can be sent to everybody on your list, or just designated people. If you are wondering "Why not Twitter? It does much the same thing, and is more popular," I can only point to Pownces far richer media handling, and better ability to assume many of BaseCamps most relevant functions.
So let's try this! Friend me and Jonny!
